24th July, 2013: Appliances Online, Australia’s leading online retailer for whitegoods and appliances, has appointed James Fleet as Chief Marketing Officer.
James Fleet has over a decades worth of experience working with online retailers across various industries. James returns to Appliances Online after working with the company in 2009 as Marketing Manager. In his most recent position, James was General Manager at Compare the Market, where he headed up the marketing and technology for the business.
John Winning, CEO of Appliances Online and the Winning Group said James Fleet’s appointment is a great asset for Appliances Online, which is experiencing strong growth nationally.
“As we operate in a highly competitive industry, it’s essential we stay top-of-mind for Australians and continue to demonstrate our exceptional customer service as a key differentiator. James’ knowledge and experience with marketing technology will prove vital in ensuring that Appliances Online strengthens its national brand awareness and continues to achieve solid growth,” said Mr Winning.
James Fleet, Chief Marketing Officer, Appliances Online said he is pleased to be returning to the market leading business and looked forward to further establishing the brand.
“Appliances Online’s growth has skyrocketed since it launched in 2005 and there’s no doubt that it is an online retail market leader not only for the whitegoods and appliances industry but also for Australia. I’m looking forward to building on the already solid position Appliances Online has in the market and to push the boundaries to engage with customers in thoughtful and innovative ways,” he said.
About Appliances Online: Appliances Online was founded by John Winning in 2005 with a laptop, a rented truck, and a 1300 number diverted to a mobile phone. Also vital in the business start-up was an unfaltering belief in online retailing as the only way to service the growing number of time-poor consumers who appreciate the efficiency of shopping online. Appliances Online now employs upwards of 200 people and is Australia’s largest online retailer of appliances, delivering to majority of the population, and stocking more brands than any other online whitegoods or appliance retailer, at extremely competitive prices.
